As a reminder, Ulla Beskow of national exhibitions (riksutställningar) sends a letter to Södertälje konsthalls curator Eje Högestätt in which an immediate response is expected. Lage Lindell’s exhibition is on tour throughout the country. The art gallery will take the exhibition the time offered between 31 October – 11 November. The answer is, YES!

It is a large exhibition with production from Lindell’s most recent creative years. Riksutställningar has made a selection from his production. Also in connection with his “… acclaimed and appreciated exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts 1968.”.

The text in Södertälje konsthalls exhibition reads:

The emphasis is on the work in the studio, about 70 studies and sketches in gouache or pencil give information about the artist’s image ideas and on three large paintings on sheet fabric you experience his studio and his painting table. After his successes as a monumental painter at the fair in Astra in Södertälje and at the town hall in Västerås, Lage Lindell has been commissioned to paint a 100 meter long wall at Umeå University. This wall, which has been taking shape for a year now, will be built with the help of, among other things, these drafts and studies. To experience this exhibition thus becomes to experience the birth of a work of art. ”.

The art gallery displays 15 larger paintings and as many larger textile compositions, as well as smaller paintings, watercolors and drawings.

The artist himself will attend the opening on Saturday 30 October at 13:00. The first curator at Riksutställningar Lars Erik Åström will present the exhibition. The art gallery at this time has generous opening hours, every day between 12 – 20.
