The exhibition at Södertälje konsthall was inaugurated at 15.00 on Sunday 16 January, but already the day before it could be seen. In connection with the exhibition, which was produced by Lunds konsthall, a small detective work arose. The exhibition had been on tour in the Nordic countries. Somewhere, three of Tajiri’s sculptures have managed to disappear. It is discovered at the return of the works to Tajiri in Holland, at the end of the tour. Lunds konsthall sends letters to all relevant bodies and undertakes to restore recovered and unsold sculptures free of charge. “Hopefully this is a sale, which they quickly forgot to let us know.” writes Ingvar Svensson from Lund Art Gallery. How it all ended, there is nothing documented in Södertälje konsthall. There is a list of works from Lunds konsthall from October 1971 which includes 57 works of art.

Södertälje konsthall has a fairly large number of black and white photos from Tajiri’s exhibitions and public works.
