“Sex education in collaboration with Vuxenskolan (School for adults)”. During the autumn of 1978, the artists Ingela Johansson and Annika Liljedahl worked as supervisors in sex education for a small group of young people with disabilities at Ansgariegården in Stockholm. As a starting point and aid in teaching – where you, among other things. wanted to give the students an awareness of their own body – Ingela and Annika have had the large life-size dolls that they created themselves. In the spring of 1979, the dolls were used in drama exercises and role-plays at a day center in Stockholm, but then with adult students aged 27-40. There, the dolls mainly functioned as a medium to express feelings in front of, to react to. The dolls were met by extremely strong reactions just by their presence. Included in the exhibition are the dolls and the drawings and masks that the students have made in connection with the lessons at Ansgariegården.
