It is with great satisfaction that Södertälje konsthall can open its doors for a large account of the latest in painting in our southernmost province. Skåne has long been one of the focal points in the geography of Swedish art and fits within its own landscape boundaries many of the country’s most talented artists. It has not been an easy task among these to make a limited selection that will give a fair picture of the multifaceted new Skåne painting.
Nearly thirty painters have heeded our invitation and are now showing on Södertälje konsthalls walls each their own version of SKÅNE – NOW so that the residents of Södertälje can get acquainted with some of the most important trends during the last, extremely lively decade.
