The project is a dialogue-based artwork initiated by the artists Mariana Suikkanen Gomes, Anna Kinbom, Maria Stiernborg and Kajsa Wadhia and is based on the idea of ​​a literature circle. During the opening at Portal in Södertälje konsthall, the members read aloud from literature on the theme of speculative feminism and sci-fi, while at the same time, together with visitors, they weave on an installation made out of hula hoops. The group has woven the hula hoops together with students from Konstfack, children in Södertälje konsthalls open workshop and during the autumn in Mölnbo where we made a dome out of the rings. During the exhibition, books compiled by the Speculative Junta will be on display in the dome. Visitors are welcome to read the books on site in the installation themselves and preferably to each other.
